The future of Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr. has been a topic of conversation over the past week, with several reports linking the 30-year-old to a move to the Premier League.
However, new manager Christophe Galtier was asked about the Brazilian during his presentation. Galtier stated that he wants Neymar to stay with the French giants for next season and says any manager would wish to have the forward on their team.
“Neymar is a world-class player, one of the best in the world. What coach wouldn’t want him in his squad?” Galtier said, per Canal Supporters.
“Then I was talking about balance, whatever the level you need balance. I have a precise idea. I will meet him, and I would also listen. But of course, I am for him to stay with us.”
There’s been plenty of speculation and talk about whether the forward would remain with PSG after President Nasser Al-Khelaifi regarding the change in philosophy and steering away from the bling-bling.
Among the clubs cited with possible interest in Neymar, Chelsea has been the most discussed, considering they are one of the clubs that could afford to pay a fee and his wages. However, a report would suggest that current manager Thomas Tuchel isn’t for reuniting with his former player at Stamford Bridge.
