Paris Saint-Germain has a list of players that it wants to move on from this summer. One of them is Thilo Kehrer, who has one year on his deal, and the capital club doesn’t want to lose on a free transfer.
Chelsea is reportedly looking for a central defender for its backline that is in the middle of a rebuild following the departures of key players. Bild’s Christian Falk reported on Tuesday that PSG offered Kehrer to The Blues, a player that manager Thomas Tuchel brought to the French capital during his stint.
However, Falk adds that there’s no interest from the Premier League club in landing the 25-year-old this summer. The Germany international is likely looking for more playing time to ensure he is part of the national team heading to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup in November.
Despite the search for more minutes, it will not occur at Stamford Bridge. PSG will have to go back to the drawing board, hoping to find a club to take on Kehrer and one that interests the player too.
