Chelsea Receives Transfer Boost as Journalist Explains Why Defender Would Leave PSG

The future of Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe is taking shape with the latest information linking the 26-year-old to a possible move to Chelsea this summer transfer window.

Recent information would suggest PSG is open to selling the France international for the right price. Manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on a reunion with his former player at Stamford Bridge, and Kimpembe could be too.

According to ESPN’s Julien Laurens, Chelsea and PSG are talking with the capital club, happy to let him go. The Blues want him, and he wants a new challenge and adds that he can’t see why this deal would not happen.

Chelsea is rebuilding their backline following the departure of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rüdiger, who left this summer on free transfers to FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Kimpembe has two years left on his deal, and this summer window would be the time to sell him if he’s not part of sporting advisor Luis Campos’ plans in this new project that sees PSG putting sport over everything.
