Paris Saint-Germain is looking for a striker this summer as the capital club attempts to push out Mauro Icardi. A few names are linked to the French giants, including Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker is strongly connected to FC Barcelona, but no deal has occurred.

According to Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, Chelsea and PSG will enter the race to sign him if the Spanish club fails to secure an agreement. Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently confirmed they had submitted a bid to sign the goal scorer.

“We have made an offer that they [Bayern] will be evaluating and we are waiting for the answer,” Laporta said.

Chelsea is in the market for a striker after letting Romelu Lukaku exit for Inter Milan and is ready to pounce if the LaLiga side cannot lock up a deal. Meanwhile, PSG is also reportedly linked to other strikers such as Hugo Ekitike and Gianluca Scamacca.

Lewandowski has one more year left on his deal, and it seems the German giants would rather see him play out the final year than recoup a fee this summer.
