Despite being 35-years-old, the age doesn’t stop Lionel Messi from improving his game, especially ahead of what could be his final FIFA World Cup later this year.

This past season with Paris Saint-Germain was a challenging one for the Argentine. Still, according to his national team manager Lionel Scaloni, Messi improved in other aspects of his game. Scaloni adds that the PSG star has matured in his game and understands it better since he arrived to take over the manager position with Argentina.

“He has improved a lot again. He understood the game, added a lot of maturity. Before he was impressive, he passed anyone and did what he wanted with the ball. Now he understands the game much better,” Scaloni said in an interview with the Copa America account

“Obviously, he is a year older every year like everyone else, but maturity is important and for him too.”
