‘Respect It’ – Eduardo Camavinga Comments on Kylian Mbappe Rejecting Real Madrid

When Kylian Mbappe decided to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, it caused many Real Madrid supporters to lash out at the decision. From signs to burning jerseys, the rejection didn’t sit well with their supporters.

Despite being in the UEFA Champions League final and winning their 14th trophy, the conversation remained on Mbappe deciding not to head to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Nonetheless, midfielder Eduardo Camavinga stated that it’s a decision they must respect.

“He made his choice, and we have to respect it. We didn’t talk about it more than that in the locker room,” Camavinga told Le Parisien (via Paris Fans

Unlike Camavinga, others on the Real Madrid have been critical of Mbappe’s decision to remain in the French capital. Defender Dani Carvajal stated that the train to join Los Blancos is one that only comes around once and adds that Real Madrid is above any player.

“He is French and comes from Paris. He plays for PSG, he is the best player in his country, and it must be very difficult to get out of this comfort zone. But I insist, there are trains that only pass once, and Madrid is above all players,” Caravajal said.

It’s doubtful that this conversation will go away anytime soon, especially if PSG faces Real Madrid in a UEFA Champions League at some point before the 23-year-old’s contract expires in 2025.
