Report: Roma, River Plate Manager Throw Twist into PSG’s Managerial Search

Paris Saint-Germain will be in the market for a manager this summer as it seems Mauricio Pochettino is likely to be sacked from his position. As a result, some names are surfacing, including Jose Mourinho and Marcelo Gallardo.

However, different reports suggest that the Portuguese and Argentine tacticians are two candidates that PSG might have to scratch off their search list.

When it comes to Mourinho, Gianluca Di Marzio reports there are no signs within AS Roma of a possible farewell, nor is Mourinho, on the other hand, thinking about a future far from the Italian capital.

Furthermore, the Italian journalist states that Mourinho will be 100-percent the coach of Roma for the 2022/2023 season, as he had declared after the Conference League final.

Meanwhile, TyC Sport’s César Luis Merlo reports that Gallardo doesn’t plan on leaving River Plate until his contract expires with the Argentine side in December.

It will be interesting to see whether sporting advisor Luis Campos will add other candidates to the mix or proceed with the shortlist that includes Sérgio Conceição and Christophe Galtier.
