When Paris Saint-Germain inked Kylian Mbappe to a contract extension, the news was followed by reports of Leonardo being out as the capital club’s sporting director.
Furthermore, it coincided with the news regarding the arrival of incoming sporting advisor Luis Campos, who would be taking over the transfer and roster-building of the squad. Also, Antero Henrique would be in charge of selling players.
Many expect an announcement officially stating that Leonardo is out of his position and thank him for his time, the usual stuff that occurs when parting ways with an executive or manager.
However, RMC Sport reports PSG will not announce the departure of its sporting director, Leonardo, who will leave discreetly after the upcoming official appointment of Campos.
The French media outlet adds the relationship between Leonardo and PSG has been over since May 21st and was informed about his sacking before the final game of the season. Also, management will soon confirm the arrival of Campos as sports adviser.
