Report: PSG in Discussions with Nice for Christophe Galtier

Paris Saint-Germain will have a new bench boss for next season as it’s only a matter of time before the capital club sacks Mauricio Pochettino and heads in a different direction.

RMC Sport reports that OGC Nice and PSG have entered into negotiations to find an agreement for the arrival of manager Christophe Galtier. PSG is also preparing the staff for the French tactician if the talks were to be finalized.

Joao Sacramento is a name that often comes up as an assistant coach for Galtier. The two men have known each other well since their partnership at Lille. Sacramento then joined José Mourinho at Tottenham and then at AS Roma.

Negotiations with Nice for Galtier do not prevent the parallel discussions with former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane. The 49-year-old is likely the number one choice for the French giants to be their next manager. However, with his interest in the France national team, PSG needs other options.

Galtier spent last season with Nice, where they finished in fifth place, with a record of 20 wins, seven losses, and 11 draws.
