When Paris Saint-Germain announced that they wouldn’t extend the deal for Angel Di Maria, rumors linking him to Juventus quickly surfaced. It seemed like a forgone conclusion the Argentine was heading to Turin.
However, that might be changing. According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Di Maria is moving away from Juventus. Both the player’s representatives and the Serie A side have been negotiating for weeks, and there is no agreement.
Furthermore, Moretto adds that the 34-year-old is more committed to declining the Italian club’s proposal and prefers to play in Spain. The report also includes that FC Barcelona influences these negotiations as they’re now in the race for Di Maria.
Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Di Maria has no agreement with the Italian club. Also, Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has called the Argentine forward to discuss a possible offer from the Spanish club.
Reports would suggest that the former PSG forward would ask for a one-year contract.
