Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has one more year left on his deal and has yet to reach a contract extension with the Premier League club. At some point, The Reds will need to decide whether they want to drag extension talks into the season and risk losing him on a free transfer or recoup a fee this summer.

According to The Athletic (via Eurosport France), Liverpool has offered a 15-percent pay rise to extend Salah, but it’s not enough for the Egypt international, who is keen to become the sixth highest-paid player in the world.

If he were to leave, the 29-year-old would like to stay in the Premier League and probably refuse advances from Paris Saint-Germain or other foreign clubs. It will be interesting to see if Salah sticks by this if no top-six club comes knocking on his deal.

PSG is keen on improving its forward group. Still, the capital club can better spend money on other things rather than strengthening a position with Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappe.
