Now-former Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Angel Di Maria is on the verge of finally signing a free transfer deal with a new club.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus and Di Maria are closing in on coming to terms on a one-year free transfer deal. The official announcement declaring Di Maria as Juventus’ latest free agent signing will come next week.
Juventus has made several notable contract decisions in this transfer matter. For one, the Argentine playmaker will earn a salary of around €6 million. However, there will be bonuses tied to the contract based on both the number of appearances along with specific objectives as well.
Di Maria departed from PSG after the club decided not to trigger the one-year option in the midfielder’s contract. Thus, he became a free agent, and it granted him the ability to sign with any club on a free transfer deal.
From PSG’s standpoint, it will be noteworthy to see just which players whom club football advisor Luis Campos plans to soon sign and slot into the team’s forward depth chart for next season.
