Paris Saint-Germain has said goodbye to their all-time assists leader in Angle Di Maria, who didn’t have his contract renewed and will exit as a free agent.
The 34-year-old has been constantly linked to Juventus over the past few weeks. However, the two parties reportedly disagree regarding the terms of a possible contract. According to La Stampa, Di Maria wants an annual salary of €7.5-million.
As a result, the Serie A side is putting two contract offers on the table for the former PSG star to accept this summer. The Italian media outlet states that the first option is a one-year deal with a salary of €5-million. The other is a two-year deal with wages of €7.5-million.
Di Maria’s plan to wrap up his playing career is to return to his boyhood club Rosario Central in Argentina. So it’s not clear whether the forward will put off the desire to head back home and remain in Turin for another season.
