Paris Saint-Germain center-back Presnel Kimpembe recently spoke about his future with the capital club, where he’s under contract until 2024. However, the 27-year-old already has his sights on his next deal and reportedly wants wages closer to what Marquinhos makes.
Nonetheless, with a new regime coming in with Luis Campos being PSG’s sporting advisor, the Portuguese tactician might not want to hold onto the player, considering he might be looking at other center-backs.
Furthermore, France Football’s Olivier Bossard reports that Chelsea does not let go of its interest in Kimpembe. The Blues need to replace Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, whose deals expire this month and, in the case of the Germany international, has already signed with Real Madrid.
The French international has a relationship with Thomas Tuchel from their time together at PSG, so it’s a player he knows well and would understand his tactics. Furthermore, Kimpembe has already received a few text messages from his former teammate and PSG captain Thiago Silva to sell him the London project.
