Arnaud Kalimuendo will be returning to Paris Saint-Germain following a successful loan stint with RC Lens. The 20-year-old appeared in 38 fixtures for the Ligue 1 side this past season, scoring 13 goals.
The young striker’s 2021-22 campaign hasn’t gone unnoticed by European clubs abroad, as Foot Mercato reports Newcastle United, Leicester City, and Nottingham Forest are interested in the France international.
However, the French media outlet adds that Kalimuendo is not keen on playing for the newly promoted Nottingham Forest as the forward has declined their approach for next season.
PSG does need to get younger at the forward group considering outside of Kylian Mbappe, their attack group are players in their late 20s and 30s last season. Furthermore, Angel Di Maria has exited and the Ligue 1 champions are also trying to offload Mauro Icardi.
Furthermore, Neymar Jr. is prone to injury, and there’s no telling whether Lionel Messi will find his scoring boots. Kalimuendo is under contract until 2024 and sporting advisor Luis Campos has yet to decide his future at PSG.
