Soon-to-be Paris Saint-Germain club official Luis Campos could reunite with a standout Ligue 1 defender over the summer transfer window.
As noted by L’Equipe (via Le10Sport), Campos is much interested in signing Lille OSC center-back Sven Botman.
Campos may have some competition if he aspires to go all out to sign Botman over the summer window. Arsenal has also been linked with the Dutch defender, which comes as the talent has three more years remaining on his contract.
Botman was one of Campos’ final signings at Lille OSC, as he joined the club over the 2020 summer transfer window. Campos would go on to leave the club later in the year.
Botman emerged as a go-to defender over Lille’s Ligue 1-winning run last year, logging 37 appearances in all competitions. The versatile center-back featured in 25 league matches this past season, where he posted a 1.0 tackles per match average.
Lille capped off the Ligue 1 campaign in 10th place in the final standings.
