Angel Di Maria has been mulling his free transfer options as of late, and his answer on this matter could soon be made public.
As noted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus is remaining firm in its aspiration to come to terms with Di Maria on a free transfer deal.
Juventus had placed a two-year contract on the table for Di Maria but it ended up pulling its offer after the Argentine “asked for only one” year. The Serie A side’s new offer to the Argentine playmaker centers on a one-year deal that includes an option for a second year.
Di Maria is slated to make a decision on this matter “by the weekend.”
If Di Maria decides to sign elsewhere, Juventus plans to shift its gears to pursuing the likes of Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic, and AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo.
Di Maria has also been linked with FC Barcelona for a free transfer move, so it may end up coming down to these two powerhouse clubs in the race for his signature.
