Paris Saint-Germain is on the verge of appointing Christophe Galtier as their manager. Although the French tactician has yet to settle the contract details to a possible arrival, he’s already made one demand.
According to French football journalist Saber Desfarges, Galtier would have OGC Nice midfielder Khéphren Thuram on his shortlist of targets to bring over to the Ligue 1 champions.
The 21-year-old would bring size to the midfield and is now the third player linked to the capital club regarding reinforcements to the position. Vitinho is reportedly coming over from FC Porto, and PSG is in the mix for Lille OSC’s Renato Sanches.
Last season, Thuram made 40 appearances for Nice, scoring four goals and recording three assists, playing primarily as a defensive midfielder for Galtier. When it comes to a possible cost, Transfermarkt puts Thuram’s value at €17-million and is under contract until 2025.
It will be interesting to see if Galtier does indeed bring Thuram to PSG, where he could potentially fill a position that hasn’t been occupied successfully since the era of Thiago Motta.
