Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to offload several players this summer to begin a new era, with Luis Campos as the sporting adviser. Antero Henrique has returned to the capital club and will be in charge of selling players.
One player that could be on the way out is midfielder Ander Herrera. According to Cadena SER (via Paris Fans), Inaki Arechabaleta, a candidate for the presidency of Athletic Bilbao, would have Herrera on his list of targets and use the possible signing as an electoral argument.
Furthermore, the Spanish media outlet adds that Arechabaleta has secured the midfielder’s agreement and wants the PSG midfielder to return to the La Liga team if he wins the presidential election.
Herrera remains attached to Bilbao, so he might not be objecting to a transfer should it present itself this summer. Herrera has two more years on his deal with PSG after coming over during the 2019 season from Manchester United.
