Earlier this year, it seemed as though Paris Saint-Germain would scoop up FC Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele, who will be a free agent in a few days when his contract expires with the Spanish club.
However, a lot has changed since January, including the capital club having a new sporting advisor in Luis Campos. CBS Sports Ben Jacobs reports that the capital club and Chelsea still haven’t made any formal contract offers.
Furthermore, Jacobs says that Campos doesn’t see him as a priority at PSG, even if Neymar Jr. is to leave the French capital. The wage demands made by Dembele are what is throwing off clubs like Bayern Munich.
It doesn’t seem as though the Ligue 1 champions will be a significant player for the 24-year-old France international despite the only thing they’d have to worry about is his meeting his wage demands.
This summer, PSG is attempting to offload players to trim their wage bill, so it would be odd to bloat that up again for a player that Campos doesn’t see as a priority.
