Poll Shows How Real Madrid Supporters Would Feel Seeing Zinedine Zidane Coach PSG

Paris Saint-Germain’s complicated relationship with Real Madrid grew tenser over the last few weeks when Kylian Mbappe opted to extend his contract with the capital club rather than head to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Now the Ligue 1 champions are reportedly on the verge of hiring former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane. After these last few weeks with the Mbappe saga, some supporters of Los Blancos might not want to see the French tactician on the bench for PSG.

Spanish media outlet El Chiringuito ran a poll asking Real Madrid fans whether seeing Zidane coach Les Parisiens would be a betrayal in their eyes. At least 52-percent of those, with nearly 36,000 votes, feel Zidane at PSG would be some disloyalty.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino’s days at the helm as manager appear to be numbered. Despite various candidates that have surfaced since the end of the Ligue 1 season, there’s only one clear-cut favorite: Zidane.

If the 49-year-old does indeed come to the French capital, then it will be a sight of sore eyes for Real Madrid supporters.
