Leandro Paredes made a long-awaited return to La Bombonera on Sunday. As fans packed the iconic stadium for Boca Juniors’ Argentina Primera Division encounter with Arsenal de Sarandí, the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was honored at the place he used to call home.

Paredes recently took some time to speak to TyC Sports, where he noted that he aspires to one day return to the Argentine powerhouse.
“I would love to return to Boca one day, from the moment I left I said I would like to,” Paredes said. “I have a two-year contract at PSG, and whatever happens, will happen. You have to live life with peace of mind.”
Paredes has been linked with several clubs as of late for a possible transfer move, including Juventus. Still, it remains to be seen whether the Bianconeri will go all out to sign him over the upcoming summer transfer window.
The veteran PSG midfielder did not join the Argentina national team for its 2022 Finalissima match against the Italian national team, which comes after he suffered a season-ending groin injury in April.
