New Offer? PSG Improving Bid for Serie A Striker Amid Links to Atletico Madrid

The striker position is an area that Paris Saint-Germain wants to improve the capital club would like to offload Mauro Icardi this summer and replace the Argentine with Sassuolo goal scorer Gianluca Scamacca. 

In the last few days, the 23-year-old has seen his name also connected to Atletico Madrid, who are looking for a replacement for Luis Suarez. A report stated that the Spanish club is pondering a move for the Italian striker. 

Perhaps this interest has caused PSG to make sure they don’t lose out on the player as Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the reigning Ligue 1 champions are prepared to return to the negotiating table. 

Di Marzio reports that PSG has raised its offer: around €40 million plus bonuses offered for Scamacca, who at this point is getting closer and closer to the French giants.

Scamacca made 38 appearances last season for the Serie A side, scoring 16 goals while recording one assist. Sporting advisor Luis Campos is banking on him to be the goal scorer in this project.
