Messi Became the First Player Ever to Reach This Feat After Argentina’s 5-0 Win Over Estonia

Lionel Messi had his best goal-scoring performance in quite a while in the Argentina national team’s 5-0 international friendly victory against Estonia. Messi scored all five goals in the contest, as Estonia’s backline had quite a difficult time in containing the Argentine while in the defensive third.

Messi has now tallied 1,100 total goal contributions in his career for both club and country. The Paris Saint-Germain forward currently sits at 769 goals and 331 assists in his career.

Overall, Messi is the first player ever to reach 1,100 goal contributions.

For a player who has achieved grand milestones after another, this is surely not even among the top-five greatest accomplishments of his career.

Messi’s season has come to an end, as he is slated to take the rest of the month off. He is expected to join PSG for its preseason schedule next month, which includes the 2022 Trophee des Champions Final against Nantes on July 31.
