Journalist Disputes Recent Reports on PSG’s Pursuit of former Real Madrid Boss Zinedine Zidane

The saga regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane continues. The latest information contradicts what was reported on Saturday from Mundo Deportivo regarding the two sides agreeing on a deal.

According to French football journalist Romain Molina, Zidane turned down advances from PSG this week about the possibility of taking over the managerial position.

Furthermore, there is no agreement contrary to what has been said, but the Qatari ownership isn’t giving up on this file as the French tactician remains their top priority.

However, sporting advisor Luis Campos is still pushing for Christophe Galtier to take charge of this new project. Molina adds that the reigning Ligue 1 champions have agreed to move this week for a new manager as the transfer window is now open, and they need to know which type of players to pursue to fit their tactics.

It will be interesting to see if PSG can convince Zidane; if not, they’ll have to move on to Plan B, which might be Galtier.
