The future of Neymar Jr. remains a topic of conversation. After reports linked the 30-year-old to a possible move to the Premier League, there’s plenty of discussion from English football pundits.
Chelsea has been the club mainly discussed, considering his relationship with Thiago Silva and manager Thomas Tuchel. Furthermore, The Blues are one of the few clubs that could afford his wages.
However, during a segment on talkSPORT, pundit Jason Cundy stated that he’s against the idea of Chelsea signing Neymar this summer. Cundy went far as calling the Brazil international overrated and not someone that is a team player.
“Well, you know my thoughts on Neymar. I think he’s overrated. I’ve said that, good player, overrated,” Cundy said. “He’s all about him; Hazard was a team player, mate. He’s a team player.”
🚫 “Neymar? Overrated. It’s all about him. I don’t want him near my club.”
👀 “I don’t think he’s the sort of player that Chelsea need. Is he talented? Yes. But I won’t want him near us.”

“I’ve always said I wouldn’t want him near my club because I don’t think that he is the sort of player that Chelsea needs. Look, is he a good player? Is he talented? Yes. I don’t doubt that for a second, but I would not want him near Chelsea.”
Silva, PSG’s former captain, recently spoke about reuniting with his teammate on the national team with Chelsea, saying it’s something he would like to see. Neymar recently signed a contract extension with the capital club, so it’s surprising to see him in rumors of an exit.
Nonetheless, with the high wages and transfer fee, it doesn’t seem likely that the Brazilian will be leaving PSG this summer, so pundits like Cundy can breathe a sigh of relief.
