Video: Rio Ferdinand Gives His Verdict on the Future of Kylian Mbappé

The future of Kylian Mbappé remains a topic of discussion as his contract expires next month. Plenty of pundits and journalists share their opinions on insight as to what the 23-year-old might do regarding his future as he’s yet to extend or sign a pre-contract.

In an interview with Canal Football Club, former Manchester United defender and English football pundit Rio Ferdinand gave his thoughts as to what the France international should do with his future.

Ferdinand states that Mbappé should go somewhere he can win the UEFA Champions League, adding that the financial side needs to be an afterthought.

“If I were him, I would go where I think I can win the Champions League. Right now, it doesn’t seem possible at PSG. Because for me, they had their best chances in the last three years. And they failed at the crucial moment. At this level, choices are not dictated by money. He must choose where he can be the best Kylian Mbappé. If he thinks he can be at PSG, okay,” Ferdinand said.

“But the real question for him is where can he get the best out of himself? To win and grow to become the best player. Messi and Ronaldo will no longer monopolize the Ballon d’Or. Who will take over? He has to convince himself that it’s his turn.”
