Sporting CP Manager Amorim Drops a Key Update on Sarabia’s Club Future

Paris Saint-Germain loanee Pablo Sarabia has enjoyed a keen campaign in his one-season loan stint at Sporting CP, and his tenure at the club will soon come to an end.

Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim recently answered on whether it will be a disappointment to not have Sarabia at the club next season, which he went on to confirm (via Record) that the winger will indeed not stay put.

“Undoubtedly,” Amorim said. “Just as I was also sorry not to have Nuno Mendes [joined PSG on loan last year] but football is like that. Others will be here. We will continue with our project and we still have two games left to enjoy Pablo.”

Sarabia agreed to join the Portuguese powerhouse on a one-season loan deal over the recent summer transfer window. The agreement between PSG and Sporting CP club officials did not come with an option to buy, so the Spanish international will return to the Ligue 1 side at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Upon his expected return to PSG, Sarabia will face uncertainty over his long-term future with the reigning Ligue 1 champions. He has been linked with clubs such as Villarreal as of late.
