Amid the growing doubt on whether Lionel Messi’s prime days are over, Ronaldinho has full confidence that the Argentine forward will bounce back next season.
Ronaldinho took some time to speak to TeleFoot, where he provided his assessment of Messi this season coupled with an early outlook on the Argentine’s campaign next season.
“His difficulties are normal,” Ronaldinho said. “To change club after so long, it is not easy. Next season, with more adaptation, he will be even better.”
Not many would have predicted that Messi would score the sixth goal of his Ligue 1 campaign on matchday 37, but this is what transpired in PSG’s 4-0 league win over Montpellier. He clinched a double in the contest as he also reached 11 goals in all competitions.
While Messi has not had much success in the goals department in Ligue 1 this season, he has had grand triumphs as a playmaker thanks to the 13 assists recorded coupled with the 2.4 key passes per match average.
Messi is slated to feature in PSG’s final league match of the season, as it will host Metz on matchday 38.
