Paris Saint-Germain is likely to say goodbye to their all-time assist leader in Angel Di Maria when his contract expires next month. The 34-year-old will remain in Europe to prepare for the FIFA World Cup later this year, and it seems as though Juventus is the possible destination for the Argentine.
Calciomercato reports Massimiliano Allegri wants a player with experience in the forward group, which is why the Serie A side is interested in Di Maria. Furthermore, the PSG forward would be a good security blanket as Federico Chiesa recovers from his injury.
The Italian media outlet reports that the two parties could agree to a one-year deal with an option for a second. Now the only hurdle is the financial side of the agreement. Juventus reportedly doesn’t want to go over €4-million or €5-million on wages for the veteran forward.
Di Maria has made close to 300 appearances for PSG, scoring 91 goals and recording 117 assists in his seven years.
