As it stands, Angel Di Maria will leave Paris Saint-Germain over the upcoming summer transfer window as a free agent. However, it may not take him much time to find a new home in Europe.
As noted by the Italian-based outlet Tuttosport (via Le10Sport), Juventus remains interested in coming to terms with Di Maria on a free transfer agreement in the coming months. The Serie A powerhouse has already touched base with the Argentine on this matter.
Nonetheless, Juventus does have a preference for AS Roma playmaker Nicolo Zaniolo over Di Maria. The Italian side is on par to lose Paulo Dybala in the summer window as a free agent and sees that Zaniolo has the edge over Di Maria when it comes to having a similar player profile to the forward.
If Roma club officials opt to open the door for Zaniolo to join Juventus, it may very well put an end to Di Maria’s chances of signing with the Italian powerhouse.
For now, Di Maria may go on to feature in PSG’s last three matches of the league campaign, which could end up being his final ones with the club.
