Paris Saint-Germain has yet to fill that defensive midfield role that Thiago Motta once occupied. The capital club has tried various players to fill this position but has not found a long-term replacement.
However, it seems as though the French giants are ready to grab a player that can take that spot and one they can have confidence in for that role. According to UOL, PSG, and Juventus eye Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro.
The Brazilian media outlet states Real Madrid is open to hearing proposals from the 30-year-old as they look to add youth to the position. Casemiro has three years left on his deal after this season but it seems Los Blancos eye younger options for his position.
UOL adds that the Brazil international is seen today by the Spanish club as the only one whose sale could yield enough money to be invested in younger players to rejuvenate the midfield.
They’re interested in AS Monaco’s Aurélien Tchouameni and Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimarães to fill that role that Casemiro currently has on the Spanish squad. When it comes to a possible price, the report says Real Madrid could part ways with the midfielder should a club pay €50-million for Casemiro.
