PSG Mercato: Paris Remains Interested in Pushing to Sign a Coveted Brazilian Midfielder

As former Lille OSC sporting director Luis Campos is on par to soon join Paris Saint-Germain, he could possibly haul in Ederson as his first signing with the club.

As noted by the Italian-based outlet Corriere dello Sport (via Le10Sport), PSG is still interested in signing Salernitana midfielder Ederson.

PSG was linked with Ederson earlier during the season, as one report noted that the club would be open to shelling out a €26 million fee to sign him from the Serie A side.

The 22-year-old signed with Salernitana over the recent winter transfer window from Brazilian side Corinthians. He featured in 15 total matches, as he was called upon to patrol the midfield against the likes of Atalanta and AS Roma. He played an instrumental role in helping the side avoid relegation and thus secure a spot in next season’s Serie A campaign.

PSG may need to soon revamp its midfield with promising youth talents. The Ligue 1 powerhouse does currently have four regular first-team midfielders who are at age 30 or over.
