Paris Saint-Germain loanee Pablo Sarabia is currently enjoying a one-season loan stint at Sporting CP, and upon his arrival back at the Ligue 1 side, he will not be going anywhere.

As noted by the Portuguese-based outlet Record, PSG sporting director Leonardo has notified Sarabia that the forward will stay put at the club for next season.

Sarabia agreed to join Sporting CP on a mere one-season loan stint over the recent summer transfer window. The agreement between the Portuguese side and PSG club officials did not include an option to buy, so the Spanish international will return to the reigning Ligue 1 champions by the season’s end.

Even as multiple La Liga clubs have shown an interest in signing Sarabia over the upcoming summer window, PSG is currently planning on keeping him in the squad.

With Di Maria slated to become a free agent at the end of the season coupled with the uncertain future of Mauro Icardi, Sarabia could very well have a realistic opportunity to fight for regular playing time minutes next season.
