Thilo Kehrer is now the latest Paris Saint-Germain player to take a look back on the UEFA Champions League round of 16 elimination at the hands of Real Madrid in March.

Kehrer spoke to Bein Sports earlier in the week, where he noted that Real Madrid was “not too strong” in the return leg of the tie.

“We had control of the game, we had chances, we could have killed the game,” Kehrer said. “Real was not too strong. It was us who made us get eliminated. But it must be said that Real has turned so many games. … Otherwise, they could not achieve what they do.”

The German defender did not feature in either of PSG’s Champions League knockout stage fixtures against Real Madrid earlier in the year. He was an unused substitute in both meetings.

Overall, Kehrer featured in three Champions League fixtures this season, and he did not earn a start in any of the matches.
