Over the past few days, the rumors linking Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte to taking over Paris Saint-Germain have run wild with the reported demands on the sporting and financial side.
The Italian tactician commented on these reports during his news conference, stating that he isn’t too happy with what the media is reporting concerning his future.
“That is good, that other clubs appreciate my work. But this is one thing, the truth that I don’t like. I don’t like when, when people try to invent news only to speak and to create problems. I think that this is not right. This is not fair for me, for the clubs involved and for my players also,” Conte said.
“Because I think we are really focused in these five games to try to get a fantastic result for us. And I repeat this type of situation make me smile. I think that also the people that want to tell something about this has to show respect for all the people that are involved in this type of situation and not invent fake news and to tell a lot of lies.”
Conte has one more year left on his contract with the Premier League club, which could see him see that out if they clinch a top-four finish.
