When Paris Saint-Germain brought in Sergio Ramos, they were hoping to get a player to fill the veteran voice on the team that belonged to Thiago Silva. The 35-year-old brought UEFA Champions League experience and looked good when out on the pitch.

However, the inability to stay healthy has put this move in the flop category. During the 2021-22 season, Ramos has only played in five fixtures for the capital club. Furthermore, there were reports about both sides parting ways.

Nonetheless, RMC Sport reports that the former Real Madrid captain intends to give everything for the remainder of this season and the next campaign since he’s under contract at PSG until 2023, like Lionel Messi.

The French media outlet spoke with those close to Ramos, and they state that the veteran defender knows that he has not met the club’s expectations for this 2021-2022 season. “He wants to show that he is still capable of winning titles by staying in Paris,” confides his relatives.

According to the report, the French giants plan to speak with the central defender. The objective is not to make him leave but to listen to Ramos to see how he feels. Only then can a joint decision be taken.
