After the conclusion of the final international break of the season, Paris Saint-Germain is now dealing with notable injuries across the board.
PSG’s official website notes that eight regular first-team players are nursing injuries ahead of the Ligue 1 home fixture against Lorient.
Marco Verratti (hamstring) and Angel Di Maria (muscle) each have been ruled out from the encounter with Lorient due to their respective injuries. Verratti has at the least resumed running activities and is slated to return to training in the middle of the week.
More so, Juan Bernat (calf), Layvin Kurzawa (lower back pain and calf pain), Ander Herrera (hamstring), Julian Draxler (meniscus injury in right knee) and Abdou Diallo (left adductor) all have been officially ruled out due to injury.
On the other hand, veteran goalkeeper Keylor Navas is dealing with an “adductor muscle injury.”
PSG heads into the remainder of the Ligue 1 season with its sights set on soon clinching the league title.
