Paris Saint-Germain currently has plenty of attention set on aiming to sign Kylian Mbappe to a contract extension deal, but club officials also have an eye on keeping another standout talent for many more years.

As noted by France Bleu, PSG has its sights set on coming to terms with Marco Verratti on a new contract deal.

PSG club officials would be open to signing Verratti to a new deal once the team officially clinches the Ligue 1 title.

Verratti currently has a mere two more seasons remaining on his contract at PSG. He added three more years to his contract back in 2019 when he signed off on a multiyear extension deal that upped his contract length until 2024.

The Italian midfielder has opened up before about the possibility of retiring at PSG, so there could end up being mutual interest between both sides on this matter.

Verratti is currently in his 10th season at PSG, where he has totaled for 25 appearances in all competitions in the ongoing campaign.
