Paris Saint-Germain plans to upgrade their midfield position this summer, and they have their eyes on Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, who can depart Old Trafford in June when his contract expires.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the 29-year-old is reportedly receptive to the idea of joining his hometown club but is understood to favor a return to Juventus.
Nonetheless, the English media outlet isn’t the only one providing the latest information on the capital club’s pursuit of Pogba. Foot Mercato reports sporting director Leonardo believes that Pogba is the major recruit that PSG must complete this summer.
The Brazilian club chief insists with the French giant’s management staff that they need to complete the transfer for the France international. However, despite Leonardo pushing for this move, it will be interesting to see if he has the authority over the transfer considering his future is up in the air.
After the Ligue 1 club crashed out of the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid, plenty of reports suggest Leonardo could be handed his walking papers.
