It’s beginning to feel more like a reality that Paris Saint-Germain will be without Angel Di Maria next season, who has been a staple of the capital club since arriving from Manchester United in 2015.

The 34-year-old’s contract expires in June, and it’s unlikely that the French giants will extend him. Instead, PSG plans to clean house, and the outcome will see their all-time assists leader depart.

Nonetheless, an offer could be on the table for Di Maria to continue his European career to help prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year. According to Goal, Juventus made the first proposal to Di Maria.

The report states that the offer is a one-year deal, and negotiations continue around an additional year as an option. This deal would satisfy the Argentine forward, considering he wants to wrap up his career playing in Argentina.

Furthermore, Juventus’ pursuit of Di Maria will allow them to have a short-term replacement for the outgoing Paulo Dybala, whose contract also expires in June. In 291 fixtures for PSG, El Fideo has made 291 appearances scoring 91 goals and recording 117 assists.
