Paris Saint-Germain’s superstar trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe orchestrated arguably the best performance by any three teammates in Europe’s top five leagues this season during the 6-1 Ligue 1 win over Clermont Foot. Neymar notched four goal contributions, while Mbappe scored three goals and Messi tallied for three assists.
For Neymar, it is quite effortless for him when he gets the opportunity to share the pitch alongside these two star forwards, which he touched on (via PSG TV) following PSG’s win over Clermont Foot.
“It’s a lot easier to play with players who are very intelligent,” Neymar said. “Leo and Kylian are extraordinary, they are two geniuses.”
While much attention has been centered on Mbappe and Messi over the course of the season, Neymar has begun to turn the tide on his campaign as of late. Overall, he has scored a combined six goals in his last four appearances in Ligue 1 play.
The Brazilian international now sits at 10 goals scored to go along with four assists recorded in 17 total games played in the ongoing Ligue 1 season.
