Kylian Mbappe remains on par to become a free agent at the end of the season, which will provide him with the opportunity to leave Paris Saint-Germain as a free transfer. With the summer transfer window mere months away from opening up, Mbappe (via L’Equipe) still has not yet made a firm decision on his future at the club level.
“I haven’t decided,” Mbappe said after PSG’s Ligue 1 home win over Lorient. “I am calm. I want to take the time because I don’t want to be wrong. I think because there are new elements, lots of things and new parameters.
“These are new elements. Things to consider. It’s not an easy decision, I’m trying to make the best possible with my family.”
Mbappe further added that there is still a chance that he could go on to stay at PSG past the summer transfer window.
Mbappe’s future at PSG has been much in question for years now, as he has not signed a single contract extension deal over his run with the club. Even as PSG has aspired to sign him to such a deal, the French international has so far opted against doing so.
PSG, Real Madrid club officials and the rest of the footballing world sure remain on standby waiting for Mbappe’s final call on this matter.
