The future of Paris Saint-Germain could be looking different next season. Two question marks are heading into 2022-23, and that’s the uncertainty whether Mauricio Pochettino and Kylian Mbappé will be in the French capital.

During his news conference with the media, Pochettino was asked whether he has begun making preparations for next season, considering he’s under contract with the French giants for another season.

Pochettino responded that for the moment, his focus is on the Ligue 1 title, which PSG will clinch soon.

“At the moment, the objective of the title is not yet assured. We are still focused on winning it and also on the game to come. Then, the sports management works on the contours of next season and certain parameters of the club. And as I said, we are still focused on getting the title,” Pochettino said.

Nonetheless, after crashing out of the UEFA Champions League in the Round of 16 against Real Madrid, it seems as though Pochettino could be on his way out, but he might not be alone. In June, the contract for Mbappé expires, and Los Blancos are keen on landing the 23-year-old.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti spoke with Radio Rai, where he was asked about their pursuit of Mbappé, where transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano relayed his remarks

“The future of this club, thanks to Florentino Pérez, is at top level. And it will also be in the coming years, regardless of the players that may come,” Ancelotti said.
