Marquinhos Provides an Outlook on Future at PSG

Marquinhos has already spent 10 seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, and he aspires to see his run at the club carry on for many more years.

In speaking to PSG TV ahead of the upcoming Ligue 1 home fixture against Olympique de Marseille, Marquinhos provided an outlook on his future at PSG, where he noted that he hopes to stay put at the club for years to come.

“I have been here for almost 10 years,” Marquinhos said. “My three children have been born here and with my wife, we have built our life here, we have been through nearly everything in Paris. Marqui and Paris, they are really linked for life, with everything that we have done together in nearly ten years. I think and hope that it will continue for longer.”

As it stands, Marquinhos has two more seasons remaining on his contract at PSG. While PSG club officials have been rumored to be interested in signing the Brazilian international to a multiyear extension deal, the veteran defender is still set to become a free agent in two years.

Overall, Marquinhos has been PSG’s most reliable defender this season, which includes 33 appearances in all competitions. He is projected to lead the team’s backline in the rivalry encounter against Marseille on Ligue 1 matchday 32.
