Lorient manager Christophe Pelissier had a front-row seat to watch the prowess of Paris Saint-Germain’s superstar attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe on Ligue 1 matchday 30. They all scored in the fixture en route to a 5-1 win.

One could make a strong case for Messi, Neymar and Mbappe each being the best player in the world, but for Pelissier (via L’Equipe), he is siding with the French international on this matter.

“When you’re dealing with a player like that, it’s hard,” Pelissier said. “I don’t think there are many people in the world who see such strong players.

“At the moment, he is the best in the world. It is a chance to have him in Paris and that he is French. Afterwards, when we are opponents, we are not necessarily happy that he is here.”

Mbappe was arguably PSG’s most influential player in the match, as he scored twice and recorded a trio of assists.

Overall, Mbappe has scored more goals (17) in Ligue 1 this season than both Messi and Neymar combined (10), as the Argentine has found the back of the net three times while the Brazilian international has so far chipped in with seven goals over the course of the ongoing campaign.
