Paris Saint-Germain has neglected bringing in world-class talent to the midfield position to lessen the dependence on Marco Verratti. The capital club failed to fill the voids left behind when Thiago Motta and Blaise Matuidi.
Nonetheless, it seems as though midfield will finally be atop of the list for the capital club this summer. According to Foot Mercato, the top priority for PSG is Paul Pogba, and the midfielder is ready to head home when his contract with Manchester United expires in June.
After The Red Devils saw their offer rejected in October by Pogba, which would have made Pogba the highest-paid player in the Premier League and a massive commission for his agent Mino Raiola, it became clear that the 29-year-old would be leaving.
Furthermore, it seems destined that Pogba heads to PSG due to the lack of competition for the midfielder. Juventus is the other club linked to the Manchester United man, and they’re not particularly interested.
Pogba is not part of The Old Lady’s short-term plans, so the French giants are in pole position to land the France international.
