The future of Kylian Mbappé continues to be a topic of discussion. This week, RMC Sport recently reported that an announcement over a contract extension would be revealed in May. Also, the French media outlet isn’t alone on this front.
CBS Sports Jonathan Johnson spoke to Sky Sports, where he stated there’s significant talk of the France international remaining with PSG over heading to Real Madrid.
Furthermore, Johnson interprets these rumors of Mbappé remaining with the French giants as a job that isn’t finished. He reached the UEFA Champions League final with Les Parisiens in 2020, falling to Bayern Munich, and the semifinals last year before losing to Manchester City.

Johnson adds that Mbappé might be pondering the legacy he wants to leave behind in his hometown club. Furthermore, with the 2024 Olympics on the horizon, he might want to be the unofficial host of the summer games.
Mbappé has been close to delivering the capital club’s first-ever Champions League trophy, so he might want to take another couple of shots but is willing to use his power to influence roster decisions.
