Video: ‘We Will See’ – Mauricio Pochettino Discusses the Status of Sergio Ramos Ahead of Real Madrid Fixture

Paris Saint-Germain will be traveling to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium next week for the second leg match against Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup.

With the fixture a few days away, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke at his news conference, where he provided an update on former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

“We will see in the next ones for Sergio Ramos,” Pochettino said. “He’s not in the squad for practice. He can bring to the team thanks to his experience after his 17 years at Real.”

“He can give good advice to his teammates, whether he is playing or not. The contribution of injured and suspended players is important to me. In this kind of match, the details are important and it’s good to be able to count on these experienced players.”

The 35-year-old won’t play this weekend against OGC Nice, but there’s no doubt he wants to be part of the group that travels to the Spanish capital to play against his former club.
