Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to upgrade its midfield this coming summer and the name that’s been constantly linked to the capital club over the last year is Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
The 28-year-old’s contract with the Premier League club expires in June, and Pogba’s former teammate on Juventus FC, Claudio Marchisio, spoke with the VIP Lounge of beIN Sports. Marchisio mentioned that he could see the midfielder heading to his hometown this summer.
“I often talk about it with Paul. I said it in another interview, his return to England was not wise for his progress. He went from the English league with specific characteristics to Italy to Juventus, where he had a different progression. Unfortunately, I don’t think his comeback was positive for him, even though he had some important Europa League wins with Manchester, world champions with France,” Marchisio said.
“I think he and his family would be very happy if he joined PSG. Coming home to a big club, trying to win the Champions League like Juventus did. But me, on the other hand, I would be very happy to see him again in Turin because he left very good memories.”
